Funding Procedure:

$1,000.00 per year for four years; Recipient must meet eligibility requirements annually.

Selection Committee:

A selection committee of three (3) appointed by the Chairman of the Board composed of two (2) directors and one (1) administrative staff.

Eligibility:

To be eligible students must meet the following requirements:

• Attend high school in one of the eleven (11) parishes served by the Association. These parishes include Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Jackson, Lincoln, West Ouachita, Red River, Union, and Webster.
• Major in an agricultural related field such as: forestry, animal husbandry, ag-business, pre-vet, etc.
• Maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average (GPA) and supply verification to the Association no later than May 31 of each year.

Selection Committee Criteria:

The Association Selection Committee will evaluate each application and award the scholarship based upon such factors as SAT/ACT Score, grade point average (GPA), and the content of the applicants handwritten response to two questions; What are you plans for College Study? Why are you Deserving of Assistance?

The top three applicants based upon their application score will also be personally interviewed by the Selection Committee before the scholarship award recipient is chosen.

Application Process:

1. Notify guidance counselor at each high school no later than March 1st.
2. Return completed application, SAT/ACT score and High School Transcript to:

3. No application will be accepted after March 31st.
4. Selection Committee meets in April and holds interviews.
5. Scholarship is made public and presented at graduation in May.
