Need a Farm
or Land Loan?
Louisiana Ag
Credit, ACA, a customer-owned agricultural lending cooperative,
is your one-stop source for farm and rural real estate loans in
Louisiana.
Since 1934,
we have provided competitive interest rates and affordable loan
terms to meet the production and land financing needs of Louisiana
farmers, agribusiness operators, country homeowners and other rural
landowners. Today, Louisiana Ag Credit remains committed to that
original mission, and we welcome the opportunity to serve young
and beginning farmers - the future of rural America.
Our
History
Louisiana Ag
Credit traces its roots to the 1800s, when farmers first formed
cooperatives through which they could share their collective purchasing,
production and marketing capabilities. By working together, farmers
found they could improve their economic well-being.
The Farm Credit
System, to which Louisiana Ag Credit belongs, was founded on those
same principles. It is a nationwide network of rural financing cooperatives
that was established by an act of Congress in 1916. Formed in 1934,
Louisiana Ag Credit was known originally as Northwest Louisiana
Production Credit Association (PCA) and offered short- and intermediate-term
loans to Louisiana farmers.
In February
2002, the lending organization was restructured as a full-service
Agricultural Credit Association. Today, through its PCA and Federal
Land Credit Association (FLCA) divisions, Louisiana Ag Credit offers
short-term production loans, long-term mortgages and financial services.
Our
Commitment to Agriculture
Louisiana Ag
Credit's deep commitment to agriculture stems from its cooperative
structure. Unlike commercial banks and other lenders, Louisiana
Ag Credit is owned by its borrowers. Our only mission is to serve
agricultural producers and other rural landowners.
This cooperative
structure is one of the best assurances that competitively priced
products and loan terms will be available during good times and
bad. You can trust Louisiana Ag Credit to continue serving agriculture
when other lenders move on to more profitable and less risky market
segments.
